Hogweed

Hogweed (Heracleum spondyleum)) is common in verges and grassy areas. The leaves are very palatable for rabbits. The plant produces white flowers in late spring and summer. It is not to be confused with Giant Hogweed, which is a rare plant and grows very tall (up to 10 feet high). Giant Hogweed is dangerous because it can cause a nasty skin reaction in humans that handle it. There are no reports of it causing a problem in rabbits
