Cow parsley- new growth

Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) is a short-lived perennial. It grows in grassland, along hedges and woodland edges, road verges, railway banks and wasteland. The filage is one of the first plants to appear in the spring and is a firm favourite with my rabbits. It is always important to check the shape of the leaf stems before picking it. They have a groove in them and can vary in colour from pale green to purple.
