Groundsel (Senecio vulgaris) is common in dry crevices and on ground that has recently been disturbed. It is often found on waste ground. It is palatable for rabbits. It is a small plant and difficult to pick in large quantities. The plant is sometimes listed as poisonous because it contains small quantities of pyrrolizidine alkaloids. It is safe for rabbits as part of a mixture of plants.
