Amount of food that contains RDA calcium

Approximately 500mg calcium is required each day for adult rabbits that are not pregnant or lactating. This is the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance). The water content of a food item affects the quantity that contains 500mg. These images show the amount that a rabbit would need to eat in a day to consume the RDA. The dish they are in is the same. It can be seen that it would be impossible for a rabbit to meet it's RDA by eating flaked maize. It might be difficult with spinach, broccoli and other 'high calcium' foods but it would be easy to exceed the the RDA by eating a lot of nuggets. More information about calcium and rabbits can be found here.
