Squeezing pus from a retrobulbar abscess

This image shows half the oral cavity of a rabbit with a retrobulbar abscess. Pressure was applied to the globe that was pushing pus out of the abscess into the mouth alongside the infected tooth. The site that the abscess was soming through helped to identify where the infection originated from. There is also marked curvature of the mandibular cheek teeth that had resulted in spurs that were damaged the tongue.
