Occlusal view of cheek teeth to show normal points

This photograph shows a hemimandible from a wild rabbit. The hemimandible has been tipped slightly to show the regular points that are present on the lingual aspect of the lower cheek teeth. These are normal. They don't need to be removed although they will quickly grow back in a rabbit with healthy cheek teeth. These points are different from the lingually directed spurs that develop on pathologically curved teeth.
